Hey everyone,
it's time for a new post, since our class came back from England two weeks ago and so we've got plenty of things we want to tell you about our trip.
And I'm now going to tell you something about Brighton and what we did there. Brighton is located in the south east of England and only about an hour away from London, and it is known as the capital of homosexuality, so as you can guess, there are lots of unusual and very individual people walking around and of course there is always something happening in Brighton. Some of you might have already been there but for those who haven't I can only recommend going there and visiting it yourselves.
There are many things to see and activities to do. Like visiting the Royal Pavilion, which is what we did on Thursday morning. The building is beautiful and its architecture is impressive. From the outside it looks like an Indian building but on the inside you could think you are in China. After that we went to an Italian restaurant to get lunch, the food there wasn't special though, so not one I'd recommend. But after that we could finally decide ourselves what we would like to do in the afternoon, so most of us went shopping and eating to the big shopping centre and the Brighton Lanes, both were only a few minute walks away from the hostel we stayed in. Our motto was definitely: shop till you drop.
Another must see sight is the famous Brighton Pier. The Pier is basically just an amusement park built above the water. It offers rollercoasters and other kinds of rides and it's also a good spot to spend leftover cash because there is also a kind of casino and game hall for under 18's. The Pier and the beach next to it are also good spots to take lots of pictures.
I personally liked Brighton a lot because it's a beautiful city and offers the perfect mix of old-fashioned and modern buildings and the kilometer-long beach makes it almost perfect. Brighton is the perfect choice if you like shopping, food and meeting new people. That's everything about Brighton from my point of view, I hope you liked it.
See you soon guys,
Miro <3
