Love actually

Love actually

Love actually is a British Christmas-themed romantic comedy film, which was written and directed by Richard Curtis in 2003.
Richard Curtis was born in New Zealand to Australian parents on the 8. November 1956. He is one of Britain’s most successful comedy screenwriters and primarily known for romantic comedy films (ex: Four weddings and a funeral, Notting hill, Bridget Jone’s diary and Love actually). The film was released on 14. November 2003 in the US and 21. November 2003 in the UK. It debuted to very positive reviews in the United Kingdom but received more mixed reviews in the US. Researches viewed that a lot of people thought that it’s just a „sugary tale overstuffed with too many stories“. The film was a box-office success, grossing almost $247 million worldwide on a budget of $45 million. Most of the movie was filmed on several locations in London, including Trafalgar square, Millennium bridge and London Heathrow airport. Additional themes where filmed at the Marseille airport and Le Bar de la Marine.

The film deals with the different aspects of love as shown through ten separate stories involving a wide variety of individuals; Many of whom are shown to be connected to each other as the tales progress.
It's five weeks to Christmas, and one can witness the formation; Breakup, near breakup, and flirtations of ten different couples, involving British folks (as well as one American woman, a Wisconsin girl, and a Portuguese woman) from 11 to about 55. They include a writer who goes to the Provence after he discovers his brother is having sex with his girlfriend, a professional couple threatened by his secretary's heavy flirtation, a newly-widowed man advising his 11-year-old son on a crush at school, an American secretary consumed by her attraction to a hunky designer in the same firm, a young photographer smitten with his best friend's new bride, a pair of movie stand-ins making conversation while a film crew poses them with less and less clothing on, and the newly-elected Prime Minister - a handsome bachelor increasingly taken by a cute assistant. One other character is an aging rock star trying to revive his career with a Christmas retread of his greatest hit.

This movie is Richard Curtis's directing debut, and his script is not as strong as the ones he wrote for "Four Weddings and a Funeral" or "Bridget Jones's Diary." In fact, there are many plot holes but the terrific cast - especially Bill Nighy, Colin Firth, Emma Thompson, Alan Rickman, Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson, Rowan Atkinson and Billy Bob Thornton - makes this movie besides a few magical moments worthwhile.

I liked this movie but it’s length has destroyed the most important point of the movie, that you can find love everywhere, even in places you would never expect. Besides that the movie fits perfectly together with everyone's mood before christmas and what the power of christmas can do to our hearts. I would prefer to recommend this movie to the girls because it’s just the typical lovely, happy ending romantic movie every girl loves. Maybe the one or the other has time to watch this movie as well and let me know how you liked it. :)

Lovely greetings from down under,
your Miro

Christmas in Linz

Today I want to tell you something about the Christmas Markets in my hometown Linz.
The smell of Bratwürstel, gingerbread and Linzer Torte from the Christmas Market on the Main Square and the Christmas Market in the Volksgarten brings you closer to Christmas Eve.
You can buy beautiful Christmas presents and eat the best gingerbread and drink mulled wine. You should visit both Markets because they are so wonderful.A tram drives nearly every 3 minutes from one Christmas Market to the otherone.
I prefer the Market on the Main Square because the scenery is unbelievable beautiful and there aren't so many people as well.
However the Christmas Market in the Volksgarten is fine too but there are always so many people and a lot of junk-shops.
All in all I do love the pre-Christmas period and I also like the Christmas Markets in Linz.

Yours Moritz

My favorite Band / singer

My favorite band is Ncs it’s the short form of No-copyright-sounds, it is more a music label than a band. They have their own Youtube channel with more than 1.5 million followers .On their channel they load up songs from other djs and singers, the most famous djs are Tobu and Alan Walker.
My personal favorite is Fade from Alan Walker, because the song sounds melodious. It is my favorite because I listend to it when I did my first double backflip and my first triple front flip on my garden-trampoline, because the first bass drop has a nice harmonious sound.

My favourite band/singer

Hi guys,

my name is Sarah and I don't really have a favourite band or musician because I listen to a lot of different music styles and I also often like just one song of a band.

So today, I will introduce one musician I really like:
Her name is Ellie Goulding and she is a British singer and songwriter. She was born on December 30 1986 (so now she is 29 years old) in England, as Elena Jane Goulding. With 15 years Ellie learned to play the guitar and wrote her first songs.
Her main music style is Pop.

I like her music very much because of the catchy rythm and her strong voice.

Ellie is a very sportive artist and likes running the most: she even took part in a half marathon and during a tour through the UK she had invited her fans to run with her in several places.

She is good friends with  American pop stars like Katy Perry and Taylor Swift.

That's her:

Famous songs of her can be found on Youtube:

michael hannl

Hy my name is Michael or Michi.
I'm from Gallneukirchen, a small village in Austria. I'm 15 yeas old. I've got a little brother, Peter. He's 13 yeas old.
My hobbies are skiing , mountainbiking, meeting friends and try new things on the trampoline. In my holidays I often travel around with my family , it is nice with them.

My favourite band (Carmen)

My favourite band is Sunrise Avenue. In the band there are 5 boys, who are out of Finland. Riku Rajamaa plays the E-guitar, Raul Rutu the bass guitar, Sami Osala the drums, Osmo Ikonen the keyboard and Samu Haber also an E-guitar(sometimes he plays also the acoustic guitar). Samu is also the leadsinger. The band was found in 1992 and became popular with the song: Fairytales Gone Bad. You hear the band very often in the radio. The music genre is POP and a little bit ROCK.

In the summer they often play concerts in Austria, Germany and Finland. On stage they are really realxed and make jokes. I was on a concert last year and it was really cool. The growd sang the lyrics and I am looking forward to the 30th Mai, when I can visit my second concert of them.

I like the music because I like the mix guitar, drum, bass. You can understand the lyrics really good and you can sing along with them. The voice of Samu is really deep and so the vocals sound really good.

My favourite band D12

Hi guys I just want to tell you something about my favourite band whose name is "D12" (=Durty Duzend). There are 12 singer/rapper in this band that's why it's called D12.
The official leadsinger of this band is called "Proof"and two other guys out of this band are called "Swifty"and"Bizarre".The most popular rapper of D12 is definitely Eminem which is now almost known by everybody and he became the titel King of Hiphop a few years ago.
D12 got famous in Detroit,so you could imagine with which problems or things they were dealt with in their city.
Unfortunately D12 has resolved already  five years ago ,because two or three rapper of the band died.
For example Proof got shot in his head and another one commited suicide.
My favourite singer of this band is of course EMINEM!
I like this band because I think every song is a new thing and every song is made up completely different and that is really incredibly in my opinion ,cause there are not many other bands which can do that and of course it sounds good too.

Favourite band

Hey guys,
My name is Andy and I want to tell you about my favourite band/singer. At first I want to tell you that I don't really have a favourite band, I just like one song of one band most of the time.
But there is one music duo i want to tell you about I really like. Their name is Timeflies, and their real names are Rob Resnick, who is the producer of the songs, and Cal Shapiro, who is the vocalist.
The duo is from the USA, their music style is difficult to say, but they often take songs of other famous musicians and make them better. Timeflies also have their own songs, but I don't really like these songs.
As I said I often like only one song of a music group and the song of the duo Timeflies I like is "Die Young".
That's the song:
There are another songs of Timeflies, which i personally don't really like:

Blog entry about your favourite band(s) or musician(s)

Hey guys,

I do apologise it took me so long to put this online, I did really constantly just forget about it! All the more positively surprised I was about Lisa and the stranger, who have already put something about their favourites on our blog.

Well, here´s the task again: Write a blog entry about your favourite band(s) or musician(s), in which...

  • you inform the reader about the band/musician/song
  • you explain why you like this band, music, particular song
  • you offer some insight into their lives/characters/particularities
  • you include links and pictures to give a realistic overview
A blog entry normally contains subjective (=personal) information; your experiences, feelings, ideas or thoughts when you listen to the music of your choice, for example.

You have until Friday to finish this - I hope there is time enough for you now!

Cheers, and sorry again, I won´t let this happen a second time!

My favourite musician

He became famous in 2012, because he won the ninth series of the famous show X- Factor. He won in 2013 the Brit award, which is nearly the same like the Grammys. His song "Impossible" was the top song in the chats for over 23 weeks in the Uk.

Here is a picture of him:

Here are two famous songs of him:
